Deleting Your Account
We're sorry to see you go. If you'd like to permanently delete your Merrisk account, here's what you need to know.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account
When you delete your account, the following will be permanently removed:
- Your user account and login credentials
- Your business profile and all associated data
- Your trust score and score history
- All connected payment processor data
- Your public profile (if Pro)
- Your embeddable badge will stop working
Warning: This action is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
Before You Delete
Before deleting your account, please consider:
- Cancel your subscription first - If you have an active Pro subscription, cancel it to avoid being charged
- Remove your badge - Remove the Merrisk badge from your website to avoid broken embeds
- Download any data - Export any data you may need before deletion
How to Delete Your Account
- Log in to your Merrisk dashboard
- Go to Account Settings
- Scroll down to Danger Zone
- Click Delete Account
- Type your email address to confirm
- Click Permanently Delete Account
Alternative Options
Instead of deleting your account, you might consider:
- Downgrade to Free - Keep your account but cancel Pro features
- Make profile private - Hide your public profile without deleting
- Disconnect payment processors - Remove data connections but keep your account
