Merrisk Terms of Service
Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Merrisk, including merrisk.com, the Merrisk WordPress plugin, our scoring tools, integrations, verification features, and all related services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue use of the Services immediately.
Eligibility
Merrisk is intended for users who are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding agreements. By using the Services, you confirm that you meet these eligibility requirements.
Accounts and Security
To access certain features, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, you must notify Merrisk promptly. You may not use another person's account or allow others to access yours.
Services and Integrations
Merrisk provides tools that allow you to connect supported third-party platforms such as Stripe, PayPal, Shopify, and WooCommerce. When you connect these services, you authorize Merrisk to access certain financial and transactional information strictly on a read-only basis. Merrisk cannot withdraw, move, or modify funds under any circumstances. You may disconnect integrations at any time, and once disconnected, we will no longer receive new data.
Trust Score and Public Profiles
Merrisk analyzes aggregated financial patterns to generate a Trust Score for your business. You may choose whether this score, along with your verification status or business profile, is displayed publicly or kept private. Merrisk does not reveal sensitive financial metrics such as your exact revenue or total number of transactions unless you explicitly choose to make such information visible. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of any information you provide.
Acceptable Use
You agree that you will not misuse the Services or interfere with their proper operation. This includes attempting to access data without authorization, submitting false business information, reverse-engineering any Merrisk software, or using the platform for fraudulent, illegal, or harmful purposes. Merrisk reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Fees and Payments
Some features of Merrisk may require payment or a subscription. All pricing will be clearly disclosed before purchase. Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled. All payments are final unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase.
Intellectual Property
All content, branding, scoring systems, trust badges, software, design elements, and documentation associated with Merrisk are protected by intellectual property laws and remain the exclusive property of Merrisk. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.
Third-Party Services
Merrisk integrates with third-party platforms, each of which has its own terms, privacy practices, and policies. Merrisk is not responsible for the actions, performance, or availability of these third-party services. Your use of such services is at your own discretion and risk.
Privacy and Cookies
Your use of Merrisk is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy, which explain how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Disclaimers
Merrisk provides all Services "as-is" and "as-available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that Trust Scores will produce specific business outcomes. Your use of the platform is at your own risk.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Merrisk is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits, loss of business, data loss, or service interruptions. If Merrisk is found liable for any reason, our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid to Merrisk in the twelve months preceding the incident.
Termination of Use
You may stop using the Services at any time. Merrisk may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or misuse the platform. Upon termination, access to your account and related features will end, and public trust badges or profiles may no longer function.
Changes to These Terms
Merrisk may update or modify these Terms occasionally. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continuing to use the Services after changes are posted indicates your acceptance of the revised Terms.
